Registration for the course ending with the exam
A TELC certificate at B1 level in Polish language entitles one to apply for the status of a long-term resident of the European Union (legal basis: https://isap.sejm.gov.pl/isap.nsf/DocDetails.xsp?id=WDU20230001076 -Regulation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of May 31, 2023).
A TELC certificate at level B2 entitles you to apply for studies in Polish.
The TELC certificate can be obtained after passing an exam that tests one's knowledge of the language, placing special emphasis on communication skills.
The Polish language exam will be held at B1-B2 (DUAL) levels, which means that if someone has a higher level of the language, he or she can be certified at B2 level.
Structure of the exam:
The TELC exam verifies 4 skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. It consists of a written and an oral part. The written part is made up of tests including texts for reading and listening with comprehension, a language element test (testing knowledge of relevant expressions in a conversation and a semi-formal letter or e-mail) and an e-mail writing task. The oral part is a conversation in Polish - a monologue on a given topic and a dialogue with another person taking the exam (on a given topic).
A person taking the exam must be at least 16 years old on the day of taking it.
After passing the TELC exam, one receives a certificate of language proficiency along with the exam grade. The certificates are printed and sent from the Central Examination Office in Germany. Telc certificates are known and recognized throughout the European Union.
